In modern day dentistry, we are bombarded by the dental media, colleagues and technicians
about "newer and better" anterior crowns. The difficulty is separating fact from the fiction and
understanding where the grey areas are. Long term success is affected by the way these new
crown systems and associated materials are used. This lecture will be clinically based and
discuss the pros and cons of different types of anterior crown systems and simplify the decision
making process. It will be of interest to clinicians as well as technicians.
Learning Objectives
- To understand the difference between various all-ceramic crown systems.
- To learn the indications for use of different anterior crown systems.
- To understand different cements and cementation techniques used for all ceramic crowns.
